I don't know if anyone help me with this or not but I am hoping...

In the obit of Charles' father, Abraham VanDusen, d. 1919 in Iowa, but buried in Lacon Cemetery, Marshall Co., Illinois. The obit from Lacon says, "his son, Charles met a tragic death being a victim in a slide at the gravel bank below town a number of years ago". This obit was taken from the Marshall Co., Democrat, Lacon, Ill. Thursday, June 5, 1919, page 1, Column 5...

I am wondering if anyone had a connection to this Charles VanDusen or might know of a descendant of his...Or possibly know of the story...
