Looking for information on the early Johnson County family, the Lisenbey's. Spelled several different ways. Some of this family moved to Arkansas, early 1800's, to Clark county

I'm not sure who I'm looking for, I know this, some of the Lisenbey/Lisenby family left Illinois and moved to Arkansas. I am not sure of the fathers name. The Lisenbey's that I know of in the late 1800's and early 1900's who list their father as born in Illinois are a Matthew and Charles Robert, or Charles Joseph. (who was born in Illinois also). Charles was my gg-grandfather. He named his son Joseph Robert. I know it isn't much to go on, I was just hoping that someone else researching the Lisenbey family would have these names recorded or have some "missing" Lisenby men in their tree. I have seen it spelled all three ways in the census'. Plus as Lizenbey.
Thanks for trying to help, no one has ever been able to find out anymore.

I am looking for further information about Hezekiah Lisenby (various spellings) of Jackson County, Tennessee (circa 1810) and Clark County, Arkansas (circa 1830).

This Hezekiah Lisenby seems to be connected to Tyre Gentry, an ancestor of mine who also lived in Jackson County, Tennessee, and Clark County, Arkansas.

Three grandsons of Hezekiah Lisenby (Eli, George Washington, and Charles Lisenby) served with Company G, Stand Watie's 2nd Cherokee Mounted Volunteers during the Civil War.

Two grandsons of Tyre Gentry (James and Samuel Gentry Heffington) served in the same unit.

Thanks for any information you can share with me about the Lisenbys and associated families (Elkins, Frier, et. al.) of Clark County, Arkansas.

Patrick, Sorry I missed your post.

I don't know anything really about the Lisenby's in Clark County.

I know the Charles you mentioned is not the Charles in Grant County. I still have very little to go on but do know that Henry (in Grant County) named his son Charles Simpson Lisenby. There has to be a connection to the Dewitt County, IL family but I haven't found anything.

My family lived in Grant County, Arkansas. My grandfather was Robert Alton Lisenbey. I do not know where his family moved there from. Might these be some of the one's you are looking for?

sorry, I read this wrong and thought it said "I don't know where his family moved from there" instead of "moved there from"...

This is Renee, who are you?

My name is LaDeana. My father is Alton Bennie. I'm not sure of my great grandfathers name but I can find out more if you think it may help.
