specifically John F. Anderson (abt 1805) of Tennessee and his wife Telitha Caroline Gatlin.

John was previously married to a woman named Fannie (unknown) whom he had several children with before marrying Telitha in Johnson County. I believe he married Fannie in Tennessee.

with Fannie he had the following children during the the early 1820s to early mid 1800s in Tennessee:

robert, melinda, mary, martha, william g, dixon, thomas jefferson, sarah, john, nancy, margaret, and tennessee r.

He married Telitha (Caroline) Gatlin in 1852 and had the following children during the early 1850s-60s)

Willis, James R. (my line), Isabelle, Azure, Amanda, George, Martha, and Angeline.

I believe that Talitha Caroline Gatlin's maiden name was Talitha Caroline Richards.

Hannah Richards was my GGG-Grandmother and Michael Richards was my GG-Grandfdather. While not yet proven, it is more than likely that Caroline Gatlin was Hannah's widowed daughter and Michael's sister. In the 1860 Federal Census of Johnson County, IL. Caroline is shown as being married to John Anderson and Orlena is listed as his/her daughter.

I also have that census record. Telitha went by Caroline most of the time. Her father was Jessie Gatlin and her mother was Cassidy "Hannah" Gibson.

Orlena is Telitha's sister (they are both from Kentucky; so that is a transcription error on the census for Telitha.

The man named Michael on the record is Telitha's step-brother from Hannah's second husband.

on second look, I believe Orlena is Caroline's child...most likely she was born out of wedlock and took the mother's Gatlin last name as was common then when there were unwed mothers.
