Hope this will connect with someone in Illinois, Valentine Smith b1837 (originally from Germany, but grew up in Ontario Canada) married a Nancy Armstrong (b 1846 in Ontario Canada)Moved to Illinois after 1865 and according to Valentine's brother's Obit they were still in Illinois in 1903 at the time of brothers death. I dont know exactly where they lived, if they had family or where they are buried, but i am hoping that someone will recognise the name and have a connection possibly via their children.
