My information comes from the book "Descendants of Jacob Hoots," written by my uncle, Carl Hoots of Yadkinville, NC. The book shows:

Peter (1773-@1860), married Vinney (no other information)

John (1813-1869), married Nancy Sarah (no other information)

Peter (1842- ? ), no other information

Elizabeth Cassandra Ann Hoots, married Edward Lee Skinner

Obviously, there is a lot of information missing. Of John and Nancy's 12 children, Carl's book only includes information on Alexander and Solomon.

One of the family mysteries is who Vinney was - do you have anything on her? Would also appreciate anything you have on Nancy Sarah and the younger Peter.

Carl's book contains a lot of information on the Illinois branches of the Hoots family, but I don't know how far you want to search - let me know. In any event, we've started what promises to be an interesting exchange.
