Looking for information on Antone Munsterman; married Regine Lange form Germany. He lived next to John Kanallakan in English Township around 1870's . John married Regina's sister after his 1st wife died. Regina and Anna had 2 more sisters that also came from Germany at the same time (1870-71). I found on the 1850 census that a Anthony lived with his parents Clemens and Johanna Munsterman and a brother, and Adam. Anthony was 21 years old in this census. My Antone and Regina married in 1875. That would put this Antone (the one on the census) 46 years old when he married. Also he and Regina had two daughters, Minnie and Johanna (possibly after his mother if this is the one on the census). Does anyone have a opinion on this or any information on this? Please help. The census says that the family was all born in Germany. This all happen in this wonderful Jersey County

Your request for the Munsterman name in Jersey County caught my eye. I had a great, great ,great uncle named John A. Munsterman who married Bertha Radcliffe in Jersey County in 1897. the license listed his father as Adam Munsterman and his mother as Willamina Lange. His obit listed two sisters named Mary Beiermann and Minnie Coady and a brother named Adam. John was born Aug. 27th 1874 and died April 2nd 1959.

I had a good friend in the 1950's who had an uncle, "Pete Munsterman." He owned a tavern in Alton. If I recall correctly, it was at the corner of State and Broadway, near the flour mill. He may or may not be a relative of the folks from Jersey County.

Hello Bill... I was just revisiting this line and was wondering if we ever shared information... Adam Munsterman was a brother to 3rd great grandfather, Antone Munsterman... They were sons of Clemens Munsterman and Johanna Pieper...

Would love to share and compare notes on this family. I do have information on Adam and Wilhelmina's family.

Hope to hear from ya!

Juls
