I have been researching the Newell family in Iroquois and Kankaee County for many years. I have Christopher Newell and his wife Harriet coming from England to Momence, then on to Beaverville. Harriet died July 15, 1858 after giving birth to a boy, maybe a set of twin boys on April 26, 1858. One boy is my 2nd great maternal grandfather John. Harriet's tombstone in Beaver Cemetery is an obelesk shaped stone. On the front was (no longer legible) a Julien Newell, son of C & H Newell. This faces the front gate, so it was the first burial in that plot. Harriet's info is on the right side of this tombstone. On the back side, which would be the 3rd burial in this plot, is the 2nd wife of Christopher Newell----Hannah Jane (Barney) Newell. The left side which one would think would be left for Christopher is left blank, due to no money to carve the words or maybe he is not buried there.
Hannah died January 31, 1881.
On April 26, 1881 Christopher married his third wife, the widow of John Snow----Mary Heath Davis. John & Mary had lived in Franklin County, New York and moved to Momence area and on to Beaverville. Then in 1877 they moved to Morocco, Newton County, Indiana where John died the next year. Mary sold the property in March or April and married Christopher Newell on April 26, 1881.
I have been unable to find a death date or burial place for either Christopher or Mary (or John Snow for that matter). Christopher's will was read on November 10, 1901.
There are 3 grandchildren also who have no dates of death, Ernest & Earl Newell born before 1900 census and Charles born before 1904 when Christopher's son's family moved to northern Newton County, Indiana.
So I am requesting look-ups for the death dates of, or anything about the following people:
Christopher Newell died maybe about November 1901
Mary Heath (Davis/Snow) Newell died between April 26, 1881 and the 1900 census
John Snow death date of September 19 or 22, 1878 but no burial place. (I have death notice from Iroquois County saying he died, also one in Kankakee saying he died but neither mention a burial place)
Ernest & Earl Newell (approx 1887, late 1888, 1889, 1890, 1891, 1893, 1894, 1895, 1898, & 1899-1900. (in between births of other children)
Charles born after 1900 census and died before 1910 probably before 1904 when the family moved to Indiana as he is not buried in Lake Village Cemetery where most of the rest of the family are buried after moving to that town.
Thank you in Advance for any help.
