Just a warning of those folks for CARRs in Illinois since
1800. There are a few CARR familys in the early days, some from the same family in Hardy Co VA, but live in
(Leonard b.ca 1770 VA)MONROE CO. IL 1798) He came with 2 brothers, Henry B. and Joseph with the David Badgeley Party
to New Design in Monroe Co. IL in 1798. He stayed in that county and raised his family there.
Joseph & Henry B moved to ST.CLAIR co IL ca 1803. Henry
seems to have moved back and forth between the two counties
but Joseph stayed in the Turkey Hill area and his kids
into several families there:
Clorisa Carr married James Garrison Jr. His family probably
was related to the GARRISONS of IN, and NJ thats been around forever, seen with HAND, LUDLUM, WRIGHT, DAVIS, DIAMINT, ETC. Some of those families were early settlers in East Hampton, NY and Cape May NJ in the 1600's to early 1700's.
There were also COX, WILDERMEN, PHILLIPS, SMITH, HIGGINS, POTTER, BOND, and others I don't recall. Some lived in
JACKSON CO. IL and moved around all over the state.
Be carefull in your search as many had same surnames attached as your. GINNY
