I have been searching for the death date and grave of my great great grandfather, Allen Sylvester, for a few years now with no luck. His last location was Chili, Hancock, Illinois in June 1900. He supposedly died in December 1900. Birth 1825 in Indiana.

One source has him buried with his first wife in Ebenezer Cemetery in Golden, Adams, Illinois. I have not been able to confirm this. He is not listed in their online index with the wife and child.

His second wife was Catherine Rist Sylvester.

The Hancock County Historical Society in Carthage has an index for the Chili Cemetery. That cemetery is fairly large. You can write to them and request that they check the index.
