I am searching for the parents of the following children shown on the 1850 census as living with Josiah and Winnifred (Ingram) Allen. I dont believe these are their children, perhaps Josiah is their uncle. I am looking for verification that either these are his children, or who their parents were and how they came to live with Josiah and Winnifred.

Josephus b.1834(?)

Penelope b.1837(?) dates are assumed by the ages

James b.1838 listed on the 1850 census

Winnifred b.1840(?)

Palina b.1845(?)
