I'm looking for
Williams family members from
Hamilton Illinois and moved to
Madison Illinois around 1850. Also may be living in
Jefferson County Illinois.
Polly GREEN. Born in 1800-1810 in NC. Polly died in 1837-1840, she was 37.
Her family info came from Lewis Green's will. She must have died between
Caleb being born in 1837 and the 1840 census as she's not in with Charles.
On 30 Apr 1818 when
Polly was 18, she married Charles
Williams, in WhiteCoIL.5 Born in c1790 in ?IL.
In the 1830 census he was listed as 30-40 (12/1830) and then in 1840 he was listed as 50-60 (10-1840), making him right at the 50 mark, putting his birthyear right at 1790.
They had the following children:

Musgrave and Elizabeth Green-Musgrave are also living with them. Earlier that year the same
Musgraves are living next to Henry Green on 1850JacksonIL. I beleive these Green girls to be the daughters of Henry Green since Elizabeth is residing right next to Henry on 1850 JacksonIL census. Green girls younger brother is
Gardner Green and son of Henry (living with Henry on 1850JacksonIL). In 1860JeffersonIL there's a
Mahala living next to the Shelton's that m: James M. Moore. They're living between
Gardner Green. I can't find marriage info on this
Mahala and James marriage, but by deductive reasoning this is
Mahala Williams from the 1850 census. The age and place of birth fits. If this is our
Mahala Williams it would be a fair guess that she's living with these
Greens because they're family. That means they're probably cousins (second cousins). I'm ASSUMING that these
Greens are related to us but I'm not sure how YET. It looks as though Henry Green may have come from GreenupKY and he may be the same Henry from 1840HamiltonIL living by Lewis. An Alexander Green is living in 1820GreenupKY also.
