I have traced my Barnett line to James Cook Barnett b. about 1792 in North Carolina. He died abaourt 1864 in Gallatin County, Illinois. His wife's name was Sarah.

Do not know how many children they had. I have information only on William, b. 20 Mar 1825 in Illinois. He married Elizabeth Cathorine Allen 20 Mar 1845 in Hamilton, IL.

Hope someone will be able to help me.

The marriage of William Barnett to E.C. Allen is not my William, but thanks for sending it anyway. He and Elizabeth were married 20 Mar1845 in Hamilton County, Il.

Thanks for the information on the 1870 census, I did not have that.

The census on James, since I don't have names for any of his children except William, I don't know if this is my James. In fact, I don't have any proof that James Cook Barnett is William's father. If I could find something listing James Cook and William with the correct birthdate for William, then that would be extremely helpful. I still have a lot of work to do on this connecion.

Thanks again for your help.
