Maria Warfield was near Charles in age. The 1860 census show Charles age 49 and a Mary age 26. Did Maria die? When? Which children belong to Maria and which to Mary?
Schuyler Co., Missouri records indicate that Charles Shaw settled there in 1868. I have not seen 1870 census, but just read 1880 Census Fabius Twp page 14. Charles is now age 76, Wife Mary is 42.I also find three more children: Mag age 12, Anetta age 8 and Clemint age 6. Also in home a niece,Samantha Clark aged 27 ( a widow) and her son Harry Clark Aged 4. I found only one Clark marriage in Illinois to a Samantha, it is in Fulton Clark. Emery w. Clark married Samantha Berry, 2 Feb 1874. He was apparently a widower and he died in Dec 1876. Who is Mary, how does Samantha relate (as a niece0 to Charles and Mary Shaw.
