Maria Sophia Bock, daughter of Wilhelm and Sophia (Steege) Bock, born May 30, 1851, at Algesdorf, Hessen, Germany. April 23, 1865, she was confirmed at Rodenberg. Seven years later, on May 14, 1872, she came to Chicago and was married on March 24, 1874, to Henry Kueker (Heinrich Küker).
From this union issued five children: William, Henry, Fred and Edward Kuecker and Mrs. Fred (Mathilda) Wagner.
After the death of Henry (January 23, 1890), she was joined in wedlock with Henry Hacker, the ceremony took place at Wheaton, Illinois, on March 31, 1891. In April of that year she came to the farm, then owned by Mr. Hacker, about five miles southeast of Whittemore, Iowa. She died on August 22, 1918 at the age of 67 years, 2 months and 22 days.
It is likely she had a brother named Fritz Bock who lived in Illinois and may have also had other relatives in Will and Du Page, Co., IL and Bremer Co., IA.
