Looking for any information about the family of a Gustav Zaelke and Mary Scheurich who married on March 24, 1864 in Aurora, Ill and then raised their family in Sandwich. Ill.

There were eight children with the first being born in 1865. If any one has access to the 1870/1880 Soundex I would grately appreciate learning the birth year for a child by the name of Mathilda or Tillie.

I believe Gustav to have been a farmer or a carpenter. Did city directories exist for the area in the 1860-1880 period to locate this family?

Would also appreciate any clues of how to find the court house housing the marriage license.

Mary's father and mother were a Leonhard and Anna Scheurich.

Any help in getting pointed in the right direction to local resources would be greatly appreciated. John in California.
