Sarah Annise Ward died at 10:10 a.m. Saturday at the home of her son, Frankie Ward, RFD 3, Bluford. She was born October 20, 1864, in Morgan county, Indiana, the daughter of George and Sarah (HOLSAPPLE) ST. JOHN, and was 93 years, one month and three days of age at the time of death. On April 4, 1896, she married Franklin Ward, who died in 1956. She is survived by two sons, Eddie and Frankie Ward of Bluford, one sister, Lulu ROBERTS of Casey, Ill.; two brothers, John St. John of Terre Haute and Willie St. John of Marshall, Ill.; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Her funeral was to be held at Wells Chapel church at 2 p.m. today, conducted by the Rev. Dwight Rogers of Xenia. Burial was to be in the church cemetery.
