I am having no luck locating a death record for Rebecca Stifle(nee Boyles). She died May 3, 1906 in Crawford Co., but the Crawford County Clerk's office has no record, and the Illinois Regional Archive Data Base at Eastern Ill University has no record. I know she is buried in Wilken Cemetery in Licking Twp. Where else should I look?

Uncle John E. Stifle, a pioneer of Crawford county, who had lingered in illness and blindness for several months past, passed to his reward at his home north of town Friday. Funeral services were held from the house, and interment in the Wilkin cemetery Saturday. The deceased leaves a companion and several children to mourn his demise. Consolations to the bereaved.

Thanks Cindy. John(my gggrandfather) passed away almost exactly 3 years before Rebecca. I fear that with his passing, Rebecca's obit, if I ever find it, will not tell me the names of her parents. The answer, I think, will come from someone with intimate knowledge of Jesse's family in the 1850s.
