My 2nd great grandmother is Frances "Fanny" Kane who came to Chicago from Ireland. She married my 2nd g-grandfather John Collins. They were married in St. Louis, Missouri in 1860 and her name was spelled Cain. I noticed there are different variations of her name. She did get tickets so that her family could come here to Chicago from Ireland. They arrived in July 1870. They were Michael age 56, Catherine age 50, Michael age 16 and John age 11. I have no other information on them except as sponsors in baptismal records that I recently found and once again, the name Kane was spelled Cain, Keane. An older cousin of mine said that the Kane's lived on the south side of Chicago but didn't know them. Any information is appreciated. Thank you.
