My grandfather - Tobias J. Ryan appointed to the Chicago Cook County Police Force on November 21, 1900. Died August 10, 1911 on duty. Was stationed at the Maxwell Street Police Station 800 Lawndale Ave. Member of the P.B.A. in May 1902. Born Feb 1, 1873 in Monemore, Emly, County Tipperary, Ireland.
