Samuel & Sarah (daugherty) Beery were in Chicago 1880 - 1900, having moved from Barbour Co.(Phillippi) WV. They lived on Root Street near the stock yards & he was a coal merchant. They may have had a boarding house on Emerald St. nearby. Born in Rockingham Co. VA. Kids were: Jacob, Peter E, William H, Amby, and Thomas F. remained in IL, while Mattie moved to MI, Hannah moved to WA, and J. Oliver and Joseph H. moved back to WV. Would like to get in touch with Beery Chicago relations. Joseph H. was my g grandfather who married Catherine Rexroad in Upshur Co. WV.
