I am asking for help on the longest of long shots to find my ancestors. Located In Kalamazoo, Michigan at Riverside Cemetery, Catholic Burial Grounds, I found a burial card for the purchase of lot 12a by Thomas McDonald. Stapled to the back of the card were two sheets of paper with handwritten notes.

The first sheet of paper indicates that there were three burials on lot 12a: (1) Thomas McDonald; (2) Margaret McDonald; (3) Rose Riley. It also indicated that Thomas had two children: (1) Rose McDonald who married an Egan; and (2) A son who died and left three children: (1) Brooks McDonald; (2) John McDonald; (3) A daughter who married Ernest Misler. All three children were indicated to live in Otsego, Michigan. And finally a note to write Mrs. Mary Egan of Plainwell with details.

The second sheet of paper indicates that lot 24a is owned by Mrs. Mary Butler and that the cemetery is to notify Mrs. M. Lane, 1121 Fullerton, Chicago, Illinois. It also indicates that there are four burials on lot 24a: (1) John Butler, 33 yrs-1875; (2) Mary Butler, 70 yrs-1880; (3) Mary Jane Butler, 43 yrs-1885; (4) Patrick Butler, 50 yrs-1881.

I do not know how the Butler, McDonald, or Lane families connect. In the early years of Kalamazoo the Butler family was connected with the Maguire, McGuire, McHugh, McCue, Flynn, Garrow, Tierney and McKenna families among others.

Please respond if you have any clues relative to this information. Thanks Brett Butler
