I don't know if I am of big help.
All I know is that here in
Berlin (Germany), where I live, also lived around 1900 a certain
Carlo Crescio and his two sons (
Carlo and
Giovanni) .
I have a picture of this
Carlo Crescio the father of this two sons.
He had a restaurant which heritaded one of his sons.
after his death. I have also a foto (not very good anymore) from this restaurant (around 1906) from the exterior facade and interior of this restaurant.
Where the Crescios came from Italy is uncertain. I assume around the
Province Genoa.
The first Crescio I found was in
Hamburg (church book) around 1860. One line of the family is emigrated seems to me, another line stayed in Germany.
In Hamburg was a certain
Gattorna (name and little town in Italy are identically), who knew something about Crescio. But unfortunately he is dead now also. From him, the
Gattorna I have got the fotos of Crescio.
Once (1992) I found in the little town
Gattorna in Italy a man whose name was
Carlo jr
Gattorna. He did not know much about his ancestors. 'The first mentioned
Carlo Crescio was his Grandfather, he told me. He told me also that there exists a line in the States, from which he does not know nothing. I think he is dead now. He was an old man, when I met him. His wife is younger, but she is
German and I think not interested in the family of her husband.
Perhaps this is a little help.
