I've used Heritage Quest. My library allows use from home. But it didn't pick up Bastion for the 1860. I'm not familiar with IL Trails. I'd appreciate it if you'd check for him on that site. What's their URL? I've got lots of other people to look for in IL too, and need to find Bastion in lots of other places and times. This guy moved around, a lot, as a minister, before finally settling in Sullivan, Moultrie Co. IL, in the late 1860s. He ought NOT to be in Coles Co. in the 1860 US census, since he was serving a church in Shelby Co. but since he had a son b. in Coles Co. Nov. 1859, I thought just maybe he happened to be in Coles Co. when the census was taken. Anyway, thanks for your help.
