Hello Everyone,

I am looking for information on the family of my 4th Great-grandparents. JAMES LEE was born abt. 1803 in ohio or Virginia and died bet. 1860-1870 in Illinois. He married MARIAH OSBORN. She was born abt. 1814 and died in 1877 in Illinois. JAMES and MARIAH had 10 children. They lived in Clay County, IL. Three of their daughters married sons of JOHN LANDRETH and REBECCA WARD. Their children are listed below:

1.) MARY LEE- She was born March 1832 in Ohio and died aft. 1920 in Nebraska. She married STEPHEN LANDRETH, whom was the son of JOHN LANDRETH and REBECCA WARD. He was born abt. 1832 in IND. and died bet. 1910-1920 in Nebraska. They had 9 children. The family moved to Saunders Co., Neb. between 1870 & 1873.

2.) FARROW LEE- Born abt. 1835 in Ohio

3.) ALZINA LEE- She was born April 1838 and died Dec. 20, 1917 in Fullerton, Nance Co., Neb. She married SOLOMON WARD, son of JACOB WARD and NANCY LANDRETH. They had 7 children. The family moved to Nebraska between 1868 & 1870.

4.)MARIAH ESTHER LEE- She was born January 20, 1841 in ILL aand died May 2, 1923 in Ashland, Saunders Co., Neb. She married STEPHEN DOUGLAS WARD on January 29, 1858 in Effingham Co., ILL. He was the son of JACOB WARD and NANCY LANDRETH. They had 11 children. The family moved to Nebraska between 1868 & 1871.

5.)JEMINA LEE- born abt. 1844 in Illinois

6.) MARTHA JANE LEE- She was born on January 16, 1847 in Clay County, IL and died October 12, 1915 in Edgewood, ILL. She married (1) ANDREW J. BRADEN on October 28, 1862 in Clay Co., IL. They had 1 daughter, MELVINA, who was born on Sept. 17, 1863. ANDREW died during the Civil War. MARTHA married (2) Nathaniel LANDRETH on January 29, 1866 in Clay Co, IL. He was the son of JOHN LANDRETH and REBECCA WARD. Martha and Nathaniel had 6 children. They were my 3rd great-grandparents. Nathaniel died bet. 1879 & 1880.


7.) JOSEPHINE LEE- She was born on January 4, 1849 in Edgewood,IL and died on July 27, 1930 in Hornersville, Dunklin County, Missouri. She married (1) ISAAC E. SHERWOOD on May 16, 1863 in Effingham Co., IL. They had 6 children. The family moved to Madison County, IL and by 1886 they were living in Dunklin Co., MO. JOSEPHINE married (2) JOHN GREEN SHIPMAN abt. 1893. They had 1 son- JESSIE HOWARD. JOSEPHINE married (3) JAMES DEAN sometime aft. 1900.

8.)MATILDA LEE- She was born December 27, 1851 in Clay Co., IL and died March 15, 1900. She married WILLIAM T. LANDRETH on September 9, 1867 in Clay Co., IL. He was the son of WELLS LANDRETH and PERMILIA MARTIN. They had 2 children.

9.) JOHN P. LEE- He was born on May 17, 1854 in Edgewood, IL and died January 5, 1920 in Clay Twp., Dunklin Co., Missouri. He married MARTHA MATLOCK and they had 4 children.

10.) SARAH LEE- was born abt. 1856 in Illinois.
