Is anyone connected to a Bernard Rogers and his wife Elizabeth Finch? They were married on 11-08-1838 in Cass County, according to the Illinois statewide marriage index. My GG Grandmother, Nora May Rodgers Morgan (born 1871 in Mason County) was orphaned at a young age by her parents, John M. and Biddy Elmore Rogers. She was also proceed in death by one brother, John E. Rogers, buried in Swings Grove Cemetery in Mason County. She always spoke of being raised by an Uncle Barney from Cork Ireland. I also have a note she wrote about her family genealogy and she used the last name, Fin(t)ch. Of course the 1880 census record puts her in the household of her maternal aunt Sarah Herwig (Biddy's sister). There is no 1890 census, and by 1900 she was married. I just cant help but think that Bernard and Elizabeth Rogers may be her Great Uncle and Aunt. Can anyone help me?
