I am a descendent of John Seidler's mother (also named Elizabeth), and I am trying to learn more about her myself. I have some limited information on this branch of the family and would be interested in comparing notes. Look forward to hearing from you.

I don't know much about anyone at this point. My great-grandparents were John J. and Elizabeth Seidler. Their daughter Anna Seidler Shook was my grandmother. I know they had many children. I think there were: Lucinda, Dora, Pauline, Grace, Freida (still living) Obie, Newton, ? How are they related to Barney and the rest of the family in Calhoun County

I was going to try to post a couple descendant trees here for you, but I guess I'll try to email them to you instead. I have a little info on both the John J. Seidler/Elizabeth Weineke family and John J.'s parents John Seidler/Elizabeth Roth (?). (Very confusing, with them both being John's and Elizabeth's!)

Please note, I am NOT AT ALL SURE that Roth was Elizabeth's maiden name. I know she was a Roth at some point and that is what we're assuming currently.

After John Sr. died, the elder Elizabeth married my g-g-grandfather, Peter Wildschultz and had one son. After Peter's death, she apparently went back to the Seidler name, as that is how it's listed on her tombstone.

I'll try emailing the pdf's of the descendant trees to you. Hope it helps!

Hi Sandy,

My mother was a Seidler from Calhoun County, IL. I have recently visited my ancestors gravesite...It was on private ground, and there were Shooks and Seidlers burried there....I am a decendent of Barney Seidler and would love to hear from you. I am going back tomorrow to copy the dates of all those buried there.

There was a few John Seidler's buried there and as far back as in the 1800's
