Tampico is located in
Whiteside County, Illinois. It is the birthplace of the only president born in IL, Ronald
Reagan, and also the birthplace of R. Admiral Joseph Mason Reeves. Our organization encompasses parts of
Whiteside County and
Bureau County, with attention to Tampico, Hume Twp., Hahnaman/Deer Grove in
Whiteside County and Thomas & Yorktown in
Bureau County. We often include family histories for near-by towns, such as Prophetstown (
Whiteside Co.) or Walnut (Bureau Co.). Our website offers a very interactive Message Board which is monitored daily. Assistance with local research is available. Below are the most recent updates to our website:

NOTE: Our message boards are very interactive and monitored on a daily basis. We connect families from all over the world, while local residents offer their help with family names, businesses, landmarks and anecdotes of Tampico and vicinity. To help slow down "SPAM" we ask that you "register" to post on the site. It is free & helps stop spam. It also gives me a contact email for you without being visible to the public. I do not give out email addresses without permission.
