I had planned to reply to you off the board but couldn't read your email address. (Speckled background drives me nuts.) I'm not a member of this family. Watch in the Reddick family for folks who are deaf. When you find them, get back to me. I haven't worked on the Brown Co. folks for a long time so this is from memory. My girls' birth mother died. She descended from the Dewitt family. There are a number of Dewitt descendants who are deaf, including my daughter. (I adopted the girls after I married their father.) The Quinn and Reddick families are related to the Dewitt family somehow. Some of these people attended the Illinois School for the Deaf in Jacksonville. The volunteers in the ISD Alumni Association office often receive requests for information about former students. Since the state records are closed, the ISDAA can be of help.
