Information contained in marriage record

Would there be more information contained in a marriage record other than the name of the bride and groom?
In this case, Nick Weller married Rosa Hoyt at Sandpoint, Bonner County, Idaho on 3 October 1908. It is listed at the Western States Marriage Index. I am interested in knowing if the parents names, places of birth, and dates of birth would be included on the complete marrige record.

Idaho, the name

Having spent the best years of my life, 1938 - 1950, in Coeur d' Alene, I have always wondered where "Idaho" came from. The state has an explanation, that it was coined, came from a Kiowa word for Comanche or came from another Indian source. While researching in the records of Augusta County, Virginia I came across a pre-Lewis & Clark use of the name.
In a suit against Benjamin Faucett, Benjamin Salvage states that in 1796 he formed a partnership with Faucett to manufacture iron. He states that Faucett owned a furnace [foundry] in Rockingham County called "Idaho Furnace". So the name pre-dates the arrival of Lewis & Clark by almost 10 years.

My grandfather was Oscar Reece Reynolds born 1-7-1886, he had a brother who I only know as Jim and a Sister. My Oscar's parents were Charley Reynolds and Mary Higgintbotham. Charley was killed in MO at the Neosho River working for the railroad. His team fell into the Neosho and dragged him to his death. Mary remarried to a man named Kruger. Mary and Kruger had 2 other children ( Walter and Lottie). My grandfather and his siblings were separated after Mary's 2nd marriage. Jim Reynolds is buriend at Rolla, MO. Oscar was left in village around Drumright, OK to a family by the name of Brummley or Brummet. The Brummley's or Brummet's traded/gave/sold Oscar to Harrison Sapulpa, son of Cheif Sapulpa. While with Harrison he attended the Euchee Indian Mission School. If anyone has any info please e-mail me at judyreyn@ionet.net. My father is dying and would like to get this info to him before it is too late. I also have a web page with pictures of Jim and Oscar.

I am looking for my grandfather's brother Charles BARKER. Charles BARKER was born in Wheeler County Texas around 1887. His Brother's name was Joseph Owen BARKER and lived in
Pasadena Calif. He had a sister Ida May BARKER VAUGHN and an Brother Henry both lived in Texas. A letter form my late aunt indicates that Charles BARKER lived in Idaho from prior to 1920 until his death. Date of death unknown. However, he attended the funeral of his brother Joseph in 1945 in Los Angeles. It is believed that Charles died in 1950. These BARKERS are the children of David Henry BARKER b 1852 in Missouri and Charlotte DURGAN(sic) DURKIN b 1857 d 1887
in Wheeler County Texas. Would like any documentation ( such as marrage licence or death certificate) that would lead to contact with Charles BARKER's descendants. Your assistance is very much appreciated.

Thank You

James R. His father was a cousin to Harold. George Clive is the last twig on that branch that I know of.
The family lines are dwindling and it is important to try to learn as much as possible while others are still with us.

Hi all,
A bunch of obituaries have been donated to the online library at GenealogyBuff.com and are at http://www.genealogybuff.com/library.htm under Idaho.
They are being indexed for the search engine right now so if you want to do a surname search, give it a little while. Otherwise, you can go to each page of obits and do a CTRL-F to search.
Hope this helps.
Bill

I am looking for information on my husband’s family. His grand parents where Cecil James Davis (b: 8/31/21 d: 10/76) and Fleta Grace Davis (the two Davis families supposedly are not related). They had five children, 2 sons and 3 daughters, Craig, Dennis – lives in ID, Pam, Chris, unknown female. This family has family origins from England and France. There is Native American Blood, Modoc. The family oral history speaks of a distant relation to Martin Luther (1483 - 1546) or his brother. I am looking for two different Davis family lines. Cecil and Fleta may have lived on a farm near Bend / Redmond, Oregon. We currently live in Michigan. My husband is from the Idaho / Utah area. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

William Young is my mothers great uncle and I have found that he is buried in Forest, Coeur d'alene(according to death certificate) and that he lived in Nettleton Gulch before his death. He had a son Raymond Charles Young, wife Naomi and 4 children and I believe they ran a farm in Nettleton Gulch. Raymond in 1934 was working for a smeltering company and his wife and father were still living at the farm. William Young died July 14, 1934 and was buried July 16, 1934. I am trying to find anyone who can help me find a living relative or speak to someone in the above areas. I can not find who I might call to help.
Thanking you

The Schorzman farm is in berley. I have only been there once when one of my great uncles dies back in 99 or 00, the schenk farm is in rupert. I know I have a great aunt opal, pearl, ruby. My grandmothers name was Della Irene Schorzman, but she had passed on back in 98. I know we have a family book that was put together, but I am not sure how to get one. If you can help or know of any information that would be wonderful.
thanks

Mr. W. H. Bump learned the sad news Thursday that his son Nelson, in Idaho, was murdered, through a newspaper that is published in the vicinity where his son resided, it appears from papers and letters which Mr. Bump has been able to obtain that the murder was commited some time the last part of April while Nelson was riding upon a Buckboard buggy in a desolute part of the country, his remains were recently found on the buckboard off the main road in a gulch with a bullet hold through the body, Mr. B. expected his son and a partner here last May or June after some property, which Mr. B. had purchased and was holding for them. Mr. B. suspicious his son's partner who knew that his son had quite a quantity of money for which the murder was undoubtedly committed.

August 11, 1888, p. 1, col. 3, Tribune, Evansville, Wisconsin
