I have a picture of a house and shed on a post card
and on the back is written "Residence of G.A. Sawyer
Area Idaho" G.A. Sawyer was half-brother to my husband's grandmother. His full name was Galusha A. Sawyer, and he was calle "Lute" by the family. The story is that he went to Idaho during the "gold rush" and there is no other record of him. I know he signed his half-sister's autograph book
in 1890, in Michigan, where he was born and raised. He would have been in his late early to mid 40's when he went to Idaho. Was there a place called Area, Idaho, or is it just area, Idaho? Any help will be appreciated.
