At the moment, I have not found a related Weiser Idaho based Hopkins who has gone to Alaska or who had relatives in Pennsylvania and it appears unlikely that one for your time frame will pop up.
- Have you looked in the Social Security death index for Hopkins dying in Alaska in your time frame ? He would have had to have died after the index starts and SS payments had to have been made to either him or his survors for it to show up in this index. If you can pin down a death date from the SSDI, a state death index, if such exists, or a grave stone, then you can check with a library in the area where he died or lived to see if there's an obit with names of spouse and children and locations. Some local libraries / genealogy societies have started to place online indexes of obits. Worth poking around and checking or asking for help where he died.
