Thank you so much for your suggestions! I appreciate knowing how best to get information from others that is specifically what I need. I am lucky to have found so much information about this part of my family. Fortunately, I have gleaned my information from the actual children of Ephraim and Margart King. Now all but the two youngest are living, and they were very young when their parents died. So they don't have early, early memories. Also, the close proximity of Idaho has made it possible for us to actually go to the cemetery in which they are buried.

I see you've only posted 15 messages, at least under this user name. When you post, post as much information as you can on an individual or family. If you have the Date of Birth, that is EXTREMELY helpful for researchers to find the right person/s. Specifically for this search, you posted in Twin Falls County, do you have any information that has them in Twin Falls County?

This person identified Ralph was born 5 Feb 1907 in Herrick, Shelby County, Indiana, and died 1959. No further information is posted online. Roy is shown as death on 8 August 2001 in Livingston, Park County, MT.

The Social Security Death Index shows Ralph Edwards born 5 Feb 1907, died August 1959, no further information as to location.

In 1930 Ralph, Grace and Delmar were living in Murtaugh, Twin Falls Co.
Ralph T., b. IL, 23, marr @ 22, farm laborer.
Grace, b. IL, 23, marr @ 23.
Delmar R., brother, b. IL, 25, single, farm laborer.

The most recent Census viewable by the public was the one in 1930. After 1930 it's more difficult to track people.
However, I did find an Edwards Family Tree on Ancestry and sent a note to berr9177 to contact you.

The next best way to find descendants is to find their death dates and request obituaries. Edwards is a common surname but you can check the Social Security Death Register, http://ssdi.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/ssdi.cgi .

After you find their death dates, contact a volunteer at Random Acts Genealogical Kindness to request a copy of their obituaries. Go to www.raogk.org, read instructions, choose Idaho, choose Twin Falls Co.

After I've received an obituary and found the survivor(s), I use www.whitepages.com to find current contact info. Successful Searching!

I see you are new to posting of genealogical inquiries. When you post, it is important to limit your search posting to an individual or individual family. By posting five family names, most researchers feel you are looking for everything and aren't doing your own research. You should also post as much information as you can about the sought person. Their Date-of-Birth is ESPECIALLY important if you have it. If not, post what you can about the person.

Twin Falls PHOTO Richard "Dick" P. Howard Richard "Dick" P. Howard , 92, of Twin Falls, died Tuesday, April 11, 2000, at the Twin Falls Care Center. Dick was born in Skidmore, Missouri, on July 29, 1907, the son of James Walker and Florence Shull Howard . He grew up around Beloit and Glasgo, Kansas, attending one room schools. Upon graduation from high school in Glasgo, he taught school in an one-room schools, and eventually attended Marysville Teacher's College in Marysville, Missouri. In 1929, the family moved to Idaho, settling in the Kimberly-Hansen area, where they farmed. His father purchased the Allis Chalmers Farm Machinery dealership in Twin Falls during the early forties, where they both worked until his father's death in 1954. The business was sold in 1956, and Dick went to work for the Amalgamated Sugar Company, until his retirement in 1972. Dick and Ina then bought the Avant Apartments and renamed them the Howard Apartments, by which they are known to this day. Dick was a lifetime charter member of the Elks Lodge #1183 in Twin Falls, and also a member of the Twin Falls Masonic Lodge #45 AF & AM. He was a member of the Magic Valley Flying Club and the Civil Air Patrol, where he flew search and rescue missions in World War II. Dick married Ina Sierer, the daughter of Idaho Pioneers, in 1940. In 1946, they adopted two sisters, Alyce and Roxie Wood. Dick is survived by one daughter, Alyce Manns of Twin Falls; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lucille Kelly of Klamath Falls, Oregon, and Mary Ellen Wes Pettigrew of Colorado Springs, Colorado; one cousin, Jim Busby of Twin Falls; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 15, 2000, at Sunset Memorial Park. At Dick's request there will be no public visitation. Services are under the direction of Reynolds Funeral Chapel in Twin Falls. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions be give to your favorite charity. Contributions may be given to funeral chapel staff, or mailed to Reynolds Funeral Chapel, P.O. Box 1142, Twin Falls, ID 83303.

I find notice of an obituary dated 22 May 2005 of Nancy Simonds, preceded in death by her husband Neil Simonds in January 1964. A search identified the obit published in the Times-News, Twin Falls:

2 PHOTOS Nancy Simonds Our dearest mother, Nancy Nunziata Marie Mastro Simonds was born April 9, 1918, in Santeramo in Colle, Province, of Bari, Italy. She passed away on Mother's Day, May 8, 2005, of congestive heart failure after living a life of dreams that she fulfilled. She emigrated with her parents, Stella Favale and Julius Mastro, to America and Boise, Idaho, in 1920. Her father had previously been to Boise and had worked as a stone mason on such edifices as St. John's Cathedral and the Idaho State Capitol Building. Mom attended Central Grade School and graduated with highest honors from Boise High School in 1936. She married her only real love, Neil Simonds on Feb. 24, 1946, in Boise. Nancy was widowed in January of 1964 and raised her seven children, the oldest being 16 and the youngest 6 at the time of Dad's passing. Mom obtained her associate's degree from the College of Southern Idaho in 1979 and earned her bachelor's degree in English from Idaho State University cum laude in 1984. She was blessed with 17 grandchildren whom she dearly loved. Family holiday gatherings filled with song and dance made her beam with pride. Nancy is survived by her sister, Anne Epeldi, Boise; and by her seven children, Grant Deborah Simonds , Boise, Julie Chuck Schwerman, Twin Falls, Alice Sternke, Boise, Gregg Julie Simonds , Park City, Utah, Laurie Alan Olmstead Simonds , Twin Falls, Debra Blackwood, Twin Falls, and Stephanie Brian Olmstead, Twin Falls. Her grandchildren are Jess and Gregg Simonds , Maren and Taylor Schwerman, Ranie Sternke, Seth, Kate, Nancy Jane and Grant Simonds , Emmy and Shelley Olmstead, Callie, Monica and Anne Blackwood and Brinya, Vanessa and Eila Olmstead. I checked the ID Death Index and didn't find Margaret listed there. I was looking for her exact death date.

However, there is a Random Acts Genealogical Kindness volunteer who will look up obits. Go to www.raogk.org, read instructions, choose Idaho, choose Twin Falls and provide him the specifics.

You can use RAOGK to get copies of the others obits.

Also, you can contact the Idaho Genealogy Society, http://idahogenealogy.org/# and ask them if they do research. Their email is idahogenealogy@hotmail.com . Some Gen. Soc's have scrapbooks, newspaper clippings, Polk County Directories, etc.

Idaho is restrictive in that you can't get a copy of a birth cert until 100 years have passed after the birth. You must wait 50 years after a death to get a copy of a death cert which is probably why their death index stops in 1951. Successful Searching!

Then she married Joseph Campbell Madron Feb. 28, 1907 in Tarkio, Atchison Co., MO. She had 7 children with him.

First child was Herman Franklin Madron. Herman and family in 1930 was living in Rock Creek, Washington Co., CO.

I couldn't find the family in a 1930 Census which is the most recent one available to the public. Finding information about people after 1930 is much more difficult.

I have scattered TF Area directories from this timeframe (1908-1990). I'd be happy to do a lookup if you'll post specific names and towns. Each little town like Buhl, Filer, Hollister, etc are listed separately.

Berger, Idaho

My grandparents lived near or around Berger Idaho from 1918 to about 1920. During that time (abt. 1919), they had a daughter Phyllis Irene Teague. She was born sometime in 1919 and died that same year (1919). Does Berger, Idaho have a cemetery or is there one within 5 - 10 miles?? I know that Berger no longer exists. Any help would be appreciated. Her name does not appear on the Twin Falls or Sunset cemeteries lists. I have checked a number of times. In addition, I have requested birth/death certificates from the State of Idaho Vital Records office in Boise. They did not find them. I assume they may be still found at the Twin Falls County Court House. Any other thoughts would be appreciated.

I am looking for my Aunt and Uncle in the directories. They lived in Kimberly and their names were Everett and Sudie Hager. She by the way was the Poet Laureate of the State of Idaho from 1949 until her death in 1982.Any help would be appreciated.

Would some kind reader of this board be willing to look up an obit. for me? I'm looking for additional information about Vivian B. Knox, who was born 12 Sep. 1913; died 11 Jan. 1973; buried Filer Cemetery, Filer, Twin Falls Co., ID. I believe her parents were Charles C. and Rose C. Ingram or Ingraham and her husband at the time of her death was Grover C. Knox born 1888; d. 1962; buried Filer Cemetery. Vivian may have been married previously to Claude Winn Saunders and had two children by him - Phyllis and Jim. Perhaps these children are mentioned in an obituary.

I don't need a copy of the obit. A summary of the information will suffice.

Searching for members of Neil Simonds family. He was born 1918 in Greene Co. Illinois to Earl and Alice (Hutchens)Simonds. Has a younger sister by 2 years, Margaret.
His mother died in 1924 and presumably his father remarried.
Neil died Jan 1964 in Colorado but lived in Twin Falls for sure because have high school picture of his son, Grant, from there. He served in WWII.

Lennart, Okay, I did a quick check on what I had started for my son-in-law. His great-grandfather was Carl Nelson, born 5 July 1875 in Sweden. Died 5 June 1949 in Twin Falls, ID. Parents were Nels Nelson and Bertha Larson, both of Sweden. He married Lucy Katherine Nelson. Born 28 Jan. 1883 in Schumway, Illinois. Died 27 July 1859 in Twin Falls, ID. Parents were William and Katherine Wise Boehm. I have both of their death records and other documents. I would be happy to contact my daughter and son-in-law if you would like contacts.

I am 59-years old and I have been a lieutenant colonel in the Swedish Army. My wife was a highschool teacher.
We are since 5 year retired.
We moved from Stochholm to the most beautiful part of Sweden called "Osterlen" in the very south of Sweden near the sea. It is also near the place where I and all ancestors were born.

John Franklin Chittock, 84, of Kimberly died Sunday, July 22, 2001 at Magic Valley Regional Medical Center of natural causes.

John, the son of John and Mary Chittock, was born Dec. 16, 1916, in Ashton, Idaho. He married Virginia Mills in Gooding, Idaho on Feb. 16, 1944. Together they raised 11 children. John worked as a ranch worker and also worked at Amalgamated Sugar factory. He retired from the sugar factory in 1982.

He is survived by four daughters, Leah Lippert, Mary Thompson, Cheryl Lee, Virginia Forsythe; five sons, John Chittock, Ward Chittock, Charles Chittock, Victor Chittock, James Chittock; 20 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

His wife preceded him in death.

Funeral services for John will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2001, at White Mortuary Chapel, with the Rev. Jim Winkle officiating. Interment will follow in Shoshone Cemetery. Friends may call at White Mortuary Tuesday from 9 until 5 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

I have been told that they moved there around the late 1920s to 1930- I have not been able to confirm this through US census records yet. I know that they lived there until they died- Sarah died in 1984 and Charles died in 1991.

I know they are buried in the Filer IOOF Cemetery and have copied that entire cemetery record and found several of their children and grandchildren. What I am looking for is some sort of obit for Margaret especially. She was on the 1910 census for Twin Falls County with Ephraim. Then she was gone on the 1920 census. Her headstone says she died in 1911. Ephraim died in 1931. Is there any information out there so I can find out about them? I have a picture taken after Margaret died. It seems, from the clothing, that the family may have been Mennonites, Quakers, Church of the Brethren, etc. The children married and most lived in the same area. Gene--the Clover cemetery is a few miles to the west of Berger. It may have been the closest. I checked the ID death certificate index and she is not listed - there are a couple of possibilities: sometimes, especailly for infants in rural areas and in this time period, the family may not have contacted the authorities and therefore no death certificate would have been issued; or the index may have missed this one. The former is likely.

I am searching for info on my g-grandfather Albert Anderson. He was believed to be born in Sweden around 1873 and we don't know when or exactly he came to the United States. He met my g-grandmother Lula T. Allen in Quincey,CA and they were wed in 1907. They farmed and ranched in Oakley area for a number of years. He worked on Milner Dam, Northside Project and other railroad and dam projects in the early 1900's. They had 3 sons Albert, Vaness & Raymond. I can find him on the 1910,1920,&1930 census in Idaho but I need to know where he came from orginally. He died in Burley 8/8/1949. Any help would be appreciated.

There is a Charles A. Dillion listed in the Idaho Death Index 1911-51 that died in 1928. This is found on Ancestry.com. You could write to Idaho Vital Statistics in Boise for a copy of the death certificate. If they don't have it sometimes county recorders have the information. It would give you a more definite time of death to search for an obituary and might tell you which cemetery he is in. Then you might be able to get someone to get a picture for you. I can get addresses or phone numbers for Vital Statistics and the county recorder if you are interested.

My grandfather and at least two of his brothers came over to the United States from Sweden in the 1880's. My grandfather was John Daniel Warberg and he settled in Colorado. He had a brother named Will who settled in Twin Fallas Idaho, and a Brother named Elof who I think went to Chicago. My grandfather finally settled in Loveland, Colorado where he was a farmer and raised a family with five children, four daughters and one son.
I am a granddaughter and would love to have more information about the "Warberg" family.

Anna LaVerne Carlson Throckmorton and Michael R. Throckmorton
[Anna LaVerne Carlson Throckmorton] was born in Twin Falls, Idaho, July 11, 1908. She received a bachelor's degree from the University of Colorado, and taught in Idaho public schools and worked for the Boise Public Library until moving to this area in 1964. Mrs. Throckmorton was active in pottery, stitchery, woodcarving, and other crafts, was a member of the South Kitsap Writers Group, and was a regular volunteer at the Sidney Art Gallery and at the Log Cabin Museum in Port Orchard. She was also a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority, the American Association of University Women, and Methodist Women. She is survived by two sisters, living out of state.

Memorial services for retired wildlife biologist and teacher Michael Reed Throckmorton, 78, and his wife, Anna LaVerne Carlson Throckmorton, 72, a South Kitsap craftsman, will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Port Orchard United Methodist Church. The couple died Dec. 11 as a result of an auto accident at Manchester Highway and Harrison Avenue.

Mr. Throckmorton was born Aug. 29, 1902, in Derby, Iowa, to James and Hattie Throckmorton. He attended school in Idaho, and following high school graduation joined the Marine Corps. He later worked his way through two years of college at Gooding College, and spent two years teaching in a one-room country school in south Idaho.

During the 1930s, he earned a degree in education at the University of Idaho. He married Anna LaVerne Carlson in Denver in 1933. Following college graduation, he worked 10 years as a secondary school teacher in Twin Falls, Idaho, but left that field due to a lifelong interest in wildlife and the outdoors, which led him to a master's degree in wildlife management from Texas A & M. Most of his working life was spent as a biologist and educator with the Idaho Fish and Game Department. He retired in 1964. The couple moved to Kitsap following his retirement.

Mr. Throckmorton was a charter member of Kitsap and Tahoma chapters, National Audubon Society, plus South Kitsap County Writing Group, South Kitsap County Active Senior Citizens Club, and the American Assciation of Retired Persons. He edited several early Kitsap family histories, and also wrote about the county's flora and fauna, with both writing projects used in county historical records.

Survivors include a brother, James Robert Throckmorton of Gig Harbor, and another brother, two sisters, two daughters, two grandchildren, and 11 nieces and nephews, all living out of the county.

Harold William Nelson born on the 08 DEC 1918. Dead on the 27 JUN 1983.

Nels Victors brother was Carl Nelson born on the 05 JUL 1875 i Sweden. Dead on the 05 JUN 1949 in Twin Falls.
Both Nels Victor and Carl were farmers in Twin Falls.
Carl was married to Caroline Albertina Boehm´s sister.

I need your help

According to the SSDI, Wayne L McQueen died 20 April 2006. His "last known residence" was Roseville, Placer County, CA. I had tossed around the idea that he didn't live there but may have had children in the area. But I thought I would start with his "last known residence" to locate family or an obituary.

Wayne L McQueen was born near or around Kansas City, MO in 1928 to John Cole McQueen and Hazel Knipschild.

According to his mother's obituary in 2000, the family lived around Kansas City until 1965. The parents moved to Loveland, CO. Then in 1976 his parents moved to Twin Falls, ID to be near his sister, Pernecia "Pat"
McQueen Heineman. His other sister Betty McQueen Anderson died in 1977 possibly in Independence, MO. At the time of the obituary, Wayne lived in San Leandro, CA.

I am looking for any information on this family in MO, ID, CA or CO. If anyone has ran across this family or know this family please contact me.

After their parents died, the children, including Lorie, went to live with their grandparents in Gooding (Ernest Hardman [13 Jul 1906-4 May 1979] and Edith Elizabeth Wheeler [2 Nov 1910-11 May ?]. After their grandparents died, Lorie, Sherri, and Tina went to live in foster homes. Lorie had a son (Michael Hardman) about 1980. She had a romance with Bill Lee Arneson and gave a baby girl up for adoption (me) while she was living in Jerome and going to nursing school. She later married someone with the last name of Raquedan and had another son (Matthew Raquedan). Any information anyone can give me will be greatly appreciated. I'd like to talk to Lorie, her sisters, and their children if possible.

I am looking for any information anyone may have about Bill Lee Arneson (DOB presumed to be in the early 1960s). His birthplace is unknown) He had a romance with Lorie Ann Hardman (DOB 22 Jan 1962) of Gooding, Idaho. After the romance, Bill left. Lorie gave up a daughter for adoption at birth in Jerome to a family living in Twin Falls. Months later, when Bill was found in Arizona, he denied paternity which delayed the adoption by about 6 months. We know nothing about his family, but hope to find information about them and perhaps have contact if it is wished.

Filer Cemetery

A week ago, we were in Hagerman and Filer, etc. I have some family buried in the Filer Cemetery. We located them and took some pictures for my Aunt. When I took her the pictures, we looked at the dates (I didn't pick up on the date discreprency since they died long before I was born), and they are incorrect according to the family Bible information. I have searched for my husbands ancestors for some time now, and have got contact with relatives in US, but he has more ancestors that has left sweden, and now I would like to see if I could find those.
Their surname should be Warberg, and coming from Ryssby, Kronobergs parish in Sweden around 1884, 1888 and 1891. Their parents name was Carl Peter Johannesson Wahrberg and Gustava Charlotta Danielsdotter, and their children got the surname Warberg and their name was: Anna Britta, born 1859, Johan Daniel, born 1861, Anders Gustaf, born 1864, Elof, born 1868, Wilhelm, born 1871, Emma Kristina, born 1873.
According to a finding here on Ancestry, at least Wilhelm lived with his family in Twin Falls and he should have died here, maby some more.
Please let me know if yoiu recognize those names, I have some information!

Johan Daniel that you write as Johan Daniel is probably the same person, when Swedes came into America, most peolple changed their names so it would be easier to pronounce in the new country.
The info I have found is this:
John Daniel died in 1941 25th February
Elof died in 1960 20th December
Will married Judith Klothilda Peterson 1904 15th of February in Boise, Idaho.
Will died 1957 5th of September in Twin Falls, Idaho
and Judith Klothilda died in 1964 12th of October.

What are the dates on the headstones? The dates in the Bible and from Aunties memory? we ran into a simular porblem, or so we thought. We got a copy of the death certificate. The memory was wrong and so was the Bible.
If this is not the case you may end up having to redo the head stone.

He claimed to live in Moline,IL for a short time, then he worked his way out west working on the railroad. He married my g-grandmother Lula Allen in Quincy,Plumas county,Ca camp 7 in July 1907. They had 2 sons Albert & Vanness while in Ca. Then they moved to ID where he claimed to work on the railroad and dams. He farmed in the Oakley area for years until he turned the operation over to his sons. Any info would help, I have hit a brick wall.

Yes we have corresponded before and I am still at the same email address. Since this posting I have found that Maggie's daughter, Eleanor STYLER, married Delbert CRAIG. He died in 1995 in Twin Falls, ID - hence the reason for Maggie to be living in Twin Falls when she died in 1966. Still looking for descendants of Eleanor.

Hello, I'm looking for information on a LaClede Stevens who died in October, 1970 in Twin Falls, Twin Falls County, Idaho. I got that information from the Social Security Death Index. I live in North Platte, Nebraska and am doing research on a murder that happened in January of 1934. LaClede Stevens murdered his wife and father-in-law. He was sentenced to 99 years of hard labor in the Nebraska State Penitentary. I have no clue when he died and if he died in prison. Could someone please look up the obit for this person and see if I have the right person. He had two brothers named Harold and Glen, plus one more brother and a sister, I don't know their names. His mother and father were divorced when he was 11 and she re-married a man named Charles Henry. His fathers initials are E.F. All that information came from the newspaper articles at the time of his trial. All the family came from Lincoln and Omaha, Nebraska for his trial. Thank you for your help. I'll appreciate any help I can get.

Greg--I have looking these obits up on my "to do list" already - I am researching businesses that used tokens and the Prater Grocery Co. is one of them. Horatio L. Prater and his son E. Forrest were in the grocery business ca. 1915-20 and used tokens. Terry Prater was an insurance man.

Hopefully I will be at the Idaho Historical Library and Archives later this week and can do the lookups.

Can anyone help me with finding a marriage rec for Eveline BENSON (nee BRESSMAN) and George KELLEY? They were married after April 1930 and while they lived in Elko, Elko Co., Nevada I have been unable to find a marriage rec there. I've also searched the Western States Marriage Index and Ancestry w/o success.

Eveline was born in 1871 and George was born in 1901. Eveline's first marriage was in 1890 to Louis Benson. Lou died in 1927 and Eveline was listed as a widow in the 1930 census enumerated in April of that year.

Mrs. Ida Chase, 60, Kimberly and Hansen pioneer woman, died at the Twin Falls general hospital Sunday evening at 9:30 o'clock. She had submitted to an operation earlier in the week.

For some time she had made her home alternately with two of her daughters, Mrs. C. B. Cameron, Kimberly, and Mrs. C.C. Shatto, Hansen. Other surviving children are Mrs. Maude Kuykendall, Eureka Springs, Ark.; Mrs. Pearl Stover, Joplin, Mo., and Albert Chase, Eureka Springs, Ark. The body rests at the White Mortuary. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ida Chase, Kimberly, were conducted at the White Mortuary Wednesday afternoon, Rev. B.M. David, pastor of Bethel Temple, officiated.

Mrs. Ora Deeter and Miss Gladys Deeter, accompanied by Mrs. Edna Beeson sang, "The Pearly White City", and "No Disappointment in Heaven." Miss Lowry sang "Beyond the Bar" playing a guitar accompaniment.
Pallbearers included S.G. Hills, S.R. Forbes, W.G. Wood, Lyman Calder, B.H. Haynes and O.C. Deeter.

Interment was in Twin Falls Cemetery.

Thanks for the reply. I knew about his registering for the draft in Idaho, but had it as in Booneville. I guess Booneville is the county and Idaho Falls the town. I knew about his birth information. I didn't know about being a musician and at the Rex Theater. Could you tell me where you got that information from? It's interesting as his James's father was a mining engineer but in the 1900 Alameda County, CA census, after they moved from Nevada, his father is listed as music teacher. Information furnished to me showed that Laura M. Burton married David A. McCan on 14 October 1954, and that she died 7 January 1973 with the last residence listed as Jerome County, Idaho. She was buried in the Hazelton Cemetery, Jerome County, Idaho. I would still like to have an obituary for Laura M. McCan, date of death 7 January 1973.

I am searching for the death date; place of burial; and copy of obituary (if possible) for Laura M. Burton who was born 21 June 1884. Her name and birthdate are engraved on a double tombstone in the Fairview Cemetery, Baxter County, Arkansas. Her husband, Lewis R. Burton, and two sons are buried in that cemetery, but no proof can be found that her remains were returned to Arkansas and buried alongside her husband. One son was killed in Okinawa in 1945. When his remains were returned to Baxter County for final interment in 1949, Mrs. Burton was shown as residing in Eden, Idaho.

Has anyone answered your request? I do not live in Twin Falls, Id. anymore. I live in Portland, Oregon. Filer is only 7 miles from Twin Falls. I have my Mom and 2 sons that live in the area. We are going back there to see the kids in March. If no one has gotten you a pic, I would be more than willing to do it for you. My grandparents are buried in the Filer Cem. and I need to do a few things there anyway.

The obit appeared in The Times-News on 13 January 2005. She died 5 January 2005, born 12 November 1913 in Walnut Grove, Missouri.

Parents were A. Matthew and Mamie Anderson

Married Albert J. Anderson, who died in 1967

Two children, Eugene E., who died in 1994, and Marvine Lee Anderson.

She was cremated and White Mortuary was responsible for arrangments.

I am doing a search for a friend in Ca. and came across your name on Ancestry.com. This may be a long shot but she is trying to re-establish contact with her sister In law, Elizabeth Vandervoort. Last name was formerly Pooler and maiden of Shelly formerly of Clifton Park, NY. Last known whereabouts is Saratoga, Ca, living with a Hal Schindler (summer home in Saratoga NY). Has 3 children, Roland, Shelly and Sarah still living in Saratoga, NY. Peter Vandervoort worked for GE in Schenectady NY for about 25 years and possibly one of their plants in Ct.

She would be about 64 and Peter V about the same age.

Should you have any relevant info on this branch of the Vandervoorts, I would be very gatefull for any leads.

Wow! Thank you very much, Judy, for your amazing help. It seems like you have "found" my grandfather. That is also good advice about checking with Blip printers. I have a few more questions:
In 1914-15 he (WN Ford) was listed as "farmer home South Park addition." Do you know where that is? I do know that in late 1913/early 1914 the family had to move into "town" because my grandmother was very ill and needed to be closer to doctors. She then died at age 34 in February, 1914. Is there any way to find out where "Rural Delivery #2" was?
WN Ford may not have been listed as a landowner because he probably just rented for some of the time. Finally, the Sec. 7, twp 10, range 17 - do you know any way that I can find out exactly where that is? That is exciting. That sounds like with this information, I may be able to pinpoint exactly where he lived. You have helped me so much; thank you very, very much.

Judy, thanks for replying. It would be great if you could check the city directories -- or any other records. My mother's family moved to TF in 1907 and lived there until at least 1922.
Father: William Newton Ford
Mother: Birdie (also spelled Berdie) Rogers Ford (died 1914)
their daughter, my mother: Annabel Lee Ford, born 1906
their son, my uncle: Fred William Ford, born 1903

I have already checked the online selection of photos from the TF library, but none of them help. It's possible that there might be some pertinent photos in the actual library, but unfortunately, when I am in Twin Falls (for the first time ever) on Sunday, July 24, I won't have a chance to go to the library. I will have to plan another trip sometime, hard to do because I live in Miami.

The only public record I could find on the Internet about the family was a 1909 listing of my grandfather, William N. Ford, applying for a road to be built to his farm/ranch in Rock Creek Canyon. My mother told me that they owned a road there. I wonder if there is any record that would show where the road was? I want very much to find out where my mother lived in Rock Creek Canyon. I've heard about it all my life. Thank you for your help.
