John Franklin Chittock, 84, of Kimberly died Sunday, July 22, 2001 at Magic Valley Regional Medical Center of natural causes.
John, the son of John and Mary Chittock, was born Dec. 16, 1916, in Ashton, Idaho. He married Virginia Mills in Gooding, Idaho on Feb. 16, 1944. Together they raised 11 children. John worked as a ranch worker and also worked at Amalgamated Sugar factory. He retired from the sugar factory in 1982.
He is survived by four daughters, Leah Lippert, Mary Thompson, Cheryl Lee, Virginia Forsythe; five sons, John Chittock, Ward Chittock, Charles Chittock, Victor Chittock, James Chittock; 20 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
His wife preceded him in death.
Funeral services for John will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2001, at White Mortuary Chapel, with the Rev. Jim Winkle officiating. Interment will follow in Shoshone Cemetery. Friends may call at White Mortuary Tuesday from 9 until 5 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
