POCATELLO — Donna Thorpe Spackman Hansen, 82, died Saturday, July 12, 2008. Donna was born on July 7, 1926, in Malad, Idaho, to Ephraim and Janet Thorpe. She was the youngest of twelve siblings and was the last one to pass.
She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by the love of her life, best friend, and husband. Marvin “Red” Hansen. She will live on through her children: Brett Spackman, Scott Spackman, Russell Hansen, David Hansen and Tami Thorn; as well as her children’s spouses, 16 grandchildren and her 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her loving son, James Spackman; and her 11 siblings.
Donna and Red were married on January 20, 1967. The love they shared was unconditional and they lived their lives together for 41 years. Their lives were enriched with family and close friends. They enjoyed spending the summers in Island Park, fishing, playing cards, and spending time with their family.
Donna was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She had many friends and was very social.
She was an amazing mother and grandmother. She had a full and beautiful life. Her memory will be kept alive through her many friends and family members.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday, July 15, 2008, at 2 p.m. in the Cornelison-Henderson Funeral Chapel, 431 N. 15th Ave., Pocatello, with Bishop Kenneth Sparrow conducting.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to
Tuesday. Interment will be at a later date in the Kuna Cemetery, Kuna, Idaho.
