I am trying to locate anyone who might have information on the Family of Joseph Wilson SHIELDS born 6 Mar 1846, in Whitby, Ontario, Canada. He married Ada Mary STAPLES 13 Nov. 1875, in Whitewater, Walroth,Wisconsin. Joseph and Ada had five children according to his Civil War Pension Papers. Ethel B.,Pearl, Jesse D., Edith, and Winniford SHIELDS. Joseph died 7 Mar 1917 in Viola, Latah, Idaho, and was buried in Viola, according to his death certificate. I would love to share information with anyone who knows anything about his children, or the death of his wife in Viola, Idaho following 1917.
