Harold E. Watson, 67, of Rockford Bay, died Saturday in a local hospital.
Born Aug. 27, 1913, in Union County, S.D., he grew up in Nebraska and Iowa. He married the former Marie Aumer Oct. 27, 1934, in Sioux City, Iowa. They came west to Idaho in 1939, and moved in 1945 to Post Falls, where they lived for 19 years as he worked for Greyhound Bus Lines. The family moved to Rockford Bay in 1964, and he retired in 1972.
He was a member of the Belgrove Grange in Rockford Bay, and of the Walnut Avenue Gospel Chapel.
He is survived by his wife, in the home; by sons Rocky and Robert, both of Rockford Bay, and Roland, of Coeur d’ Alene; by daughter Mrs. Bill (Mardell) Burns; by mother Mrs. Virginia Haas, of Hood River, Ore.; by brother Ray Watson, of Galesburg, Ill.; by sisters Marjorie Eldrige, of Denver, and Doris Sample, of Seattle; by nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in Pleasant View Cemetery, Post Falls, with Mr. Ernest Unruh officiating. The family requests that memorials be made to the donor’s favorite charity. Yates Funeral Home, Coeur d’ Alene, is in charge of arrangements.
