THere was a Painter IGA in Gooding and there was the "Painter" place a farm 4 miles N and 4 miles E of Gooding. The house had no foundation. It is recollected that frogs got into the bathroom frequently. Straw bales had to be placed outside the foundation for insulation.
It was along Wood River. Don Fredericksen bought the place in the early 1900s. ...unknown exact date.
Don't know the name of the Painter fella he bought it from.
But surely must be a relation to your Ben.
