Do any of you know where I could find a copy of the book "All along the river by Nellie Ireton Miles"? My Kjiersgaard/Kiersgaard/Kesgard family is mentioned in it and I would like to obtain a copy if I could.

If that doesn't work, check Google Books, amazon.com, Abe Books, etc.

I checked a number of the national book research sources and book sellers. I can't find it available for purchase at this time. The book by Nellie "Mills", was written in 1963, and being of local interest, may not have had a large publication.

has the Table of Contents and the Index. In the Index, "Kesgards" are listed on page 71, 87, and 88. If you can not find the book to purchase, try this site for a volunteer to copy those pages for you.

Thank you for the reminder and suggestions. I've asked several times but it's been awhile so I just sent them an email. The library here in Ola has 2 copies but won't sell me one because they want to keep one for an emergency.

I paid abt. $100 for my copy abt. 15 yrs ago at Yesteryear Book Shop in downtown Nampa and it was well worth it for the history "all along" the Payette River.

I am the great granddaughter of Nellie Ireton Mills.

We only have a few copies left in our family and there is was only a few books printed. Idaho's Historical library does have 2 copies for reference and you can make copies there.

Thank you for your personal interest in her book. She was a great author and historian.

Yes! By all means it's time for a 2nd printing! Since reading the earlier post I've heard that copies are now going for over $200 a copy.

Yeah! So glad that you got the book. It is a great history of families in Idaho and I cheerish that it still keeps some stories alive today.
