BOUNTIFUL - Helen Garrett Sharpe, loving mother, sister and aunt, passed away December 13, 2002. Helen was born in Wellsville, UT to Moses and Barbara (Williamson) Garrett Nov 22, 1914.

Helen is survived by her daughter, Patty (Charles) Chesney, CA; sister, Mozell Hess, Tremonton; brother, Harvey Lee (Darlene) Garrett, Kaysville; as well as the many nieces and nephews she loved and considered "her kids, too." Helen is preceded in death by husband, Roland, 1987; son, Gil-bert, 1986; and brothers, Boyd, Mark Garrett.

The Garrett family were longtime residents of Garland, UT where Helen graduated from Bear River High School. Upon graduation from Weber College, Helen lived in Salt Lake City and worked in legal and insurance fields and also obtained a private pilot license. She married Roland L. Sharpe May 15, 1941 in Salt Lake City. She lived and worked in the Southern U.S. where Roland was stationed during service in the military. Returning to Utah while he served in Europe, she worked at Bushnell in Brigham City.

Upon Roland's return in 1945, they lived in Preston, ID. From 1952 to 1970 they lived in Chicago, IL and Castro Valley, CA; where they owned and operated their own businesses. They returned to Utah in 1970, residing in Bountiful. Helen entered the real estate field where she worked in various sales and office positions in Salt Lake and Davis Counties until 1994. Helen loved to travel and enjoyed her trips to Reno and Wendover. Highlights were her trips to Hawaii and Europe with Patty and Chuck.

Services will be Tues. Dec 17, 2002 11 a.m. Lindquist Kaysville Mortuary, 400 N. Main, Kaysville, UT. Friends may call at the mortuary Mon. 6-8 p.m. and Tues. 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Wellsville, UT Cemetery. E-mail condolences to the family at llm@lindquistmortuary.com
