I am searching for Opal Myers who was formerly Opal Tow. She was living in Orofino, ID when her brother Guy Tow died in Susanville, California in 1988. I would like her obituary or to contact her if she is still alive. If neither can be had maybe she has descendants in or near Orofino that I may contact. Opal's parents were Harley and Birdie (Reich) Tow. Birdie was the daughter of Laura Hammons and Powhatten/Hatton Reich who was part Powhatten Indian. It is also my understanding that the Tow families were also part Powhatten Indian. Are the Reich's and Tows related through the Indian nations? I always assumed the Reich name was of German origin. Laura, Birdie's mother was the daughter of Adeline Jones Hammons the first wife of my husband's great grandfather James Hammons of Cedar County, Missouri. Laura's mother died shortly after her birth, James remarried and Laura was raised by Adeline's mother, Missouri Ann Jones-Harper-Hammons. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.
