Jean Charlotte Pratt Moore, 91; of Bancroft passed away Saturday, June 27, 2009 at her home. Jean was born June 5, 1918 in Baker, Oregon the daughter of Edgar Monroe and Jean Frances Wellman Pratt.

She married Thomas R. Moore on October 9, 1946 in Idaho Falls, Idaho in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Tom passed away June 23, 2008.

She had worked as a secretary and clerk for many years for the Credit Bureau, Wallace Transtrum, Leonard Kingsford and was the Bancroft correspondent for the Caribou County Sun. She also worked with her husband on the ranch. She enlisted in the U.S. Army during WW11 serving in Northern Africa and Italy. She was in the W.A.A.C. and W.A.C.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She joined the church in Italy and was baptized in the Adriatic Sea. She served in various callings in Primary, MIA, Sunday School, Stake Sunday School Secretary and was the director of the Bancroft Family History Center.
Jean enjoyed horses, dancing and genealogy.

Jean is survived by three sons, Michael D. Moore of Casper, WY; Nairn L. and Carol Moore of Bancroft, ID; and Louis E. Moore of Preston, ID; Also surviving are 5 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Tom Moore, her brother Homer Edgar Pratt and one granddaughter Lelia Michelle Moore.

Services will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2009 at Noon at the Bancroft LDS Ward Chapel. Family will meet with friends on Thursday morning from 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at the Church prior to services. Burial will be in the Chesterfield Cemetery.
