Darhl Bitton Cheirrett Hillstrom passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2009 in Bountiful, Utah.She was born February 4, 1917 to Willard John and Evah Sorenson Bitton in Grace, Idaho. She was the only girl of four children. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and grew up in Lago. She married Harold John Cheirrett on November 4, 1937 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. To this union were born six children: Barbara, Clair, Joan, Williard, Janet and Mark. They were later divorced. She married Wynn E. Hillstrom, August 8, 1970. Together they operated Idaho Boot and Shoe in Blackfoot, ID. Darhl and Winn served a mission for the LDS Church in Mt. Vernon, Ohio served many years as temple workers in the Ogden Temple. She served in many capacities of the church including the Relief Society Presidency. Darhl was a good business woman and worked as the office manager at the Caribou County Hospital in Soda Spring, ID for many years. She was a real lady and a people person. She never appeared in public without her lipstick and earrings and could make anyone feel loved and comfortable. She loved her family and enjoyed sharing in their successes. She was a beautiful gardener and homemaker. She is survived by five of her children and their spouses: Barbara and Darrell Nielsen, Clair and Gloria Cheirrett, Joan Schumacher, Willard and Liz Cheirrett, Mark and Peggy Cheirrett; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, Val and wife, Rayola Bitton and by a sister-in-law, June Bitton. She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Harold J. Cheirrett; her second husband, Wynn E. Hillstrom; a daughter, Janet, two brothers and one great-grandchild. A visitation will be held Friday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, Utah Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 27, 2009 at the Bancroft Idaho LDS Chapel, where a visitation will be held from 11:45 - 12:45 p.m. prior to services. Interment- Bancroft Cemetery.
