Irene Carver Jenkins, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great, great grandmother passed away June 28, 2004, at 8:30 a.m. of natural causes. She was born June 28, 1906, at Bancroft, Idaho, to Ralph Harrison and Mary Dorothy Christensen. She was the second child of seven children and became an orphan at the young age of 14 when both her parents died a year apart. The youngest child was two. She saw many marvelous inventions during her 98 years. She lived from horse and buggy to space travel. She was very talented in crocheting and tatting and shared this gift with many people. She worked hard all her life and loved to be doing things for others. She held various positions in the LDS church. Her two husbands, Richard Carver and Delloyas Oliver Jenkins, preceded her in death, as well as three children, Faye and Raye (twins) and Richard Carver Jr., son-in-law John David Reid, and grandchildren Trona Leann Lemmon and Tyler Scott Reid. She lived in Stockton, Utah from 1968 to present time. She is survived by her daughters Delma Fern (Carver) Reid Tooele, Utah and Doralee (Jenkins) Speakman and son-in-law Tom, Stockton, Utah. She has 13 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 21 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 2nd at 10 a.m. at the Stockton Ward Chapel. Friends may call at Tate Mortuary on Thursday from 6 until 8 p.m. and Friday from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. She will be buried in the Central Cemetery, Central, Idaho.
