MRS. JOSEPHINE KOFFEL PASSED AWAY IN SEATTLE
Services were held Wednesday afternoon from the Moon chapel for Mrs. Josephine K. Koffel, 53 who passed away at Providence hospital in Seattle, Mar 19 following major surgery.
Mrs. Koffel was born and reared in Priest River. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fredrick Losh.
Mr. and Mrs. Roy Koffel and their children moved to a ranch in the Pack River district about 1920. Mr. Koffel was killed in an accident in 1934. Mrs. Koffel has made her home in recent years with her son, Gilbert, at Juneau, Alaska. She was a member of the Eagles auxiliary and the Emblem club of Juneau.
Surviving are one son, Gilbert, four daughters, Mrs. Grace Moore, Seattle; Mrs. Alice Gatzkiewicz, Fairbanks, Alaska; Mrs. Selma Pearce, Stratford, Wash.,; and Mrs. Erma Reynolds, Coeur d’ Alene; two sisters, Mrs. E. J. Turner, Cloverdale, Ore,; Mrs. Anna Dinehart, Spokane; two brothers, Henry Losh, Coeur d’ Alene; Fredrick Losh, Priest River, and four grandchildren.
Rev. P. J. Ahern conducted the service and interment was at Lakeview cemetery.
