Hi: I couldn't find anything on his obit, but I found him in the 1900 census giving his birthdate as Oct. 1867 in Wisconsin. He was consistent on his age in the 1910 and 1930 censuses and this would put his death at age 88 in Jan 1956 (he would have turned 88 in October 1955)
