Any mining historians out there?
Hello Blaine County -
I'm searching for an alleged uncle in Alturas/Blaine County between 1886 and 1900. My g. grandfather wrote about his time in East Fork, and said the family had gone there to visit his "uncle [who] had a silver mine . . . about a quarter of a mile up on the side of a steep mountain". I believe the uncle's surname was DAVISON, and that he was born in either New York or England. The father of the above writer was Norman EDWARDS, who also had a mining claim recorded as the "Fannie Parnell" on the East Fork of the Wood River (I have a copy of the mining deed record for this).
Any ideas on who my elusive uncle may have been?
Thanks,
Holly
