Edward McFarland, well known Blackfoot citizen, died Friday at 10 p.m. in an Idaho Falls hospital following a major operation early in the week. Mr. McFaland had lived in this city twelve years, coming here from Parker's Prairie, Minnesota. He is survived by his widow, a son living in South Dakota, and a daughter living in Wisconsin. The latter is enroute to arrange the funeral. A son, Dr. Lloyd McFarland, of Kansas City and formerly of the Mayo Brothers Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, preceded his father in death last spring. Funeral services will be held here Monday at 2 o'clock from the Methodist Church with Rev. Charles D. Fletcher in charge. The body will be shipped east for burial.
