MONTPELIER — Erma Violet
Hymas passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, June 25, 2009. She now joins her husband and soul mate, Jack
Dee Hymas, for eternity.
Erma was born on April 21, 1928, in Geneva,
Idaho, to
Johann and Anna Mary
Wenger Widmer. She was one of ten children. Erma was a member of the Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a faithful member who held many church callings. Besides her church callings, she loved crafts and making things for her family, such as quilts, sewing for her grandchildren, crocheting dolls and afghans. She loved her flower garden. She had a green thumb and could make anything grow. She was very active and was always doing things for her family.
She is survived by her son, Orson
Blake Hymas, of St. Charles, Mo., a daughter, Carolyn
Dee Stettler, of
Boise,
Idaho, and one brother, David
Widmer, of
Logan,
Utah. She has seven grandchildren and 13 greatgrandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 1, 2009, in
Paris Idaho Stake Center at 10 a.m. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday evening at
Matthews Mortuary in
Montpelier from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday at the church in
Paris from 9 to 9:45 a.m. The interment will be in the
Liberty Cemetery.
