I found a notice about the death of William Broomfield.
I am not related in anyway. I am just posting for research purposes.

William Broomfield of Tamarack committed suicide by shooting himself in the head with a large caliber rifle. Despondency caused by ill health is believed to have been the reason for his action. For some time past he had not been able to work as a planer operator. He left a wife and two young sons.
I also found two newspaper articles about a Will Broomfield.
