Still looking to find info on my GGparents John Chadwick brn abt 1820/30 NC/SC or Ga died after 1860 place unk,married Mary Hodgin? brn abt 1831 NC per a 1900 TN census. She was the mother of 7 children with 3 still living in 1900. I believe her 3 remaining children were Abe Chadwick brn abt 1858 GA,my Gfather John Chadwick brn abt 1860 Ga,and a James Chadwick brn abt 1860/70 all brn GA. Have heard the both John,and Mary was brn in SC,but the census states different,also her husband John may have been a Mason,and or a Circuit Rider,also known as Big John the Mountian Man. He also may have been a Mason in construction,also John may have been a middle name?.
My Gfather John Chadwick brn abt 1860 GA had believed to been married 3 time before he passed in Bell Co KY at the age of about 65,so actually he may have been brn abt 1852 GA. I believe he had a daughter in GA who married unk Ballew/Blue,and she died in the 1930/1950 somewhere in GA,possible around the Dalton GA area. GGmother Mary was living with my Gfather John Chadwick in 1900,in Anderson co TN at the the age of 69 along with her 2 Gsons,John's nephews,a Robert Chadwick brn abt 1880/81 Ga,and Oliver Chadwick brn abt 1882/83 GA. John,and Mary may have lived in East central GA when they met,near the SC state line.
